Data Loader – Demographics

Overview

There are 4 types of field used by Demographics on the General Mapping in Data Loader.

  1. Demographic Value
  2. Demographic Type Date
  3. Demographic Text/Number
  4. Demographic Verified Date

Demographic Value

Demographic Value is used for Single response, Multiple response and YesNo demographics.

On the General Mapping, select Demographic Value.  You should also select the delimiter if you have a delimiter in your data that will be mapped to a Multiple Response demographic.(Figure-1)

After you save the General Mapping with the Demographic Values, a Demographic Mapping will become available in the navigation.

The Demographic Mapping (Figure-2) allows you to map the incoming values to the appropriate Omeda Demographic values.

Sample rows populated from the first 100 rows of the file will be added to the mapping automatically to get you started.

The Demographic Header allows you to choose with Demographic from your uploaded file that you want to map.

Demographic Type Date

When you choose Demographic Type Date on the General Mapping, you will be required to choose the demographic that it should be mapped to and the format of the date that your file contains.(Figure-3)

Demographic Text/Number

Demographic Text/Number is to be used by Text, Whole Number and Decimal Number demographics.  The data will be converted exactly as it is on your uploaded file.

When you choose Demographic Text/Number on the General Mapping, you will be required to choose the demographic that it should be mapped to. (Figure-4)

The only limitation is that it is truncated to 255 characters to fit in the database.

Demographic Verified Date

When you choose Demographic Verified Date on the General Mapping, you will be required to choose the demographic that it should be mapped to and the format of the date that your file contains. (Figure-5)

You should also have a separate field mapped to the actual demographic.
