The Growing Importance of Knowing Your Audience
The old means of relying on Facebook alone to drive traffic & revenue is dwindling. New avenues need to be utilized in order to grow the audience and revenue.
The recent Digiday Article, “Audience Development Shifts Focus From Facebook Traffic to Generating Revenue” reminds us of the changing environment, because it points to these new challenges facing audience developers. We work alongside many organizations that are finding that through looking at more sophisticated programs, they can increase revenue.
For example, one of the items mentioned in the article was looking at metrics like how readers convert to email newsletter recipients and then subscribers. In looking at different metrics and understanding your audience, it will be easier to grow.
